Chris Polarek, 39, of Coal City, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 27, 2019 at Loyola University Medical Center
in Maywood with her family by her side.
Born March 02, 1979 in Morris, she was the daughter of Terry and Julianne (George) Creasy. She graduated from West
Chicago High School.
Chris married Michael Polarek on September 02, 2001 in Hinsdale at the Zion Lutheran Church. For most of their married
life they lived in Coal City. For several years she was employed in the banking industry.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael of Coal City; four sons, Tyler, Peyton, Shaun and Logan Polarek all at
home; her parents, Terry Creasy of Braidwood and Julianne (Marty) O’Connell of Joliet; one sister, Nichole (Matthew
Pronger) Creasy of Channahon; one brother, Anthony Creasy of Wisconsin; her grandmother, Mary Landa of Crest Hill; her
sister-in-law, Jeni (Jon) Curran of Hinsdale; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Betty Polarek of Morris; her mother-in-
law and step father-in-law, Vicki and Rick Pierson of Hinsdale; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death was her grandfather, Roger George.
She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, cooking, arts and crafts and spending time with her sons and family.
Memorials may be directed to Loyola University Medical Center or blood donation in honor of her memory.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 04, 2019 at 11:30 am at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris with Pastor
Patrick Lohse officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 am until time of service at the church. Fruland Funeral
